Facials & Chemical Peels
Although the results of these two procedures can be very similar, they have some stark differences. A facial uses serums and products to clean pores, extract blackheads, and moisturize the skin. A chemical peel uses chemical solutions to strip the surface layer of cells away in order for a newer, healthier layer to return.
Recovery time for a facial is little to none while a chemical peel may have some minimal side effects that require some time to recover. This recovery time will depend largely on the type of chemical peel received. A light chemical peel will require less recovery time than a deep peel.
HydraFacial MD treatment can be performed as a cure or even as a form of prevention. Since cellular regeneration occurs every 30 days, plan one treatment per month for optimal results. If you wish to target a specific skin condition or goal (acne, pigmentation spots, rejuvenation…), it is recommended to adopt a program based on one treatment per week, depending on the condition. Cleansing begins with one session, once per month or at season changes.
Stimulate cellular turnover, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin tone, texture, and clarity in less than 60 minutes.
This peel is known as the “Red Carpet Peel”, referring to the number of celebrities that seek it out before they get ready for red carpet events and wish to avoid the downtime and peeling that traditional peels cause.
This peel contains 3 different acids to exfoliate your skin and promote cell turnover; with Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid and Citric Acid. These are all exfoliating ingredients that work by dissolving dead skin cells and increase moisture to the skin. This combination helps to improve skin texture and tone by providing both epidermal exfoliation and renewal.
Accelerated exfoliation of existing skin surface pigmentation creates a more even skin tone while a unique brightening complex works to help prevent the formation of new pigmentation.
Glycolic acid is a type of chemical exfoliant that dissolves bonds between dead skin cells, revealing smooth, younger skin. Lactic acid is specifically used to treat hyperpigmentation, age spots, and other factors that contribute to a dull and uneven complexion. Citric acid has protective antioxidant, and corrective anti-aging effects to help clean pores to soften and smooth the skin.
This advanced peel solution is gentle enough for all skin types.
With just one peel results will be noticed, however, to achieve maximum benefits, a series of 3 to 4 peels, set at 4-week intervals is recommended.
