Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical treatment option. During this procedure one of Lethbridge Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics’ qualified nurses simply injects a mild sclerosing solution into our patient’s veins. The injectable agent irritates the walls of the vein, causing it to shrink in size. The vein eventually disappears and is reabsorbed into the affected leg.
Several treatments are generally needed to fully resolve the issue.
