Post-Procedure Care for Healthy Lips

It’s easy to assume that you get a lip procedure done and then you’re “good to go”. But it’s important to note the importance of post-procedure care for healthy, beautiful lips.

We include the Mizzo Cosmetics lip kit (shown above!) with all of our injectable lip treatments. Not only do we love it, but it also reduces healing time, discomfort, and signs of bruising.

Some of the other post-procedure tips we recommend are:

✔ Applying ice to your lips afterwards to help reduce swelling

✔ Avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours

✔ Stay hydrated

✔ Avoid high temperatures like steam rooms, saunas, or heated exercise classes for 48 hours after treatment

✔ Avoid blood-thinning medications such as ibuprofen

✔ If you’re getting a lip treatment for a specific event, make sure to leave plenty of time in between the procedure and the event to allow your lips to properly recover

✔ Try to sleep with your head elevated on pillows to reduce swelling

When it comes to injectables, we believe natural looking results are subtle, yet impactful and beautiful.

Our entire team in southern Alberta is passionate about the art of aesthetic medicine and we recognize the importance of not only appropriate certification, but also knowledge of anatomy. Those two things are KEY within the medical spa industry. We are dedicated to elevating injectable practices and we care about your health and well-being.

Maintaining a patient’s identity is one of THE most important aspects of cosmetic injectables. The goal of every well-performed cosmetic procedure is to product a result that elicits reactions from others, such as these:

“You look great!”

“Have you been away?”

“Sleeping better?”

“Doing yoga?”

After an injectable procedure, it should be apparent that you feel and look better, fresher, well-rested, and a bit more youthful and happier.

If you live in Taber, Medicine Hat, Sparwood or Lethbridge and have any questions about the procedure, we’d love to share our knowledge with you! Give us a call — 403-381-0083!
